SURRENDER AND YOU’LL BE SHOWN THE WAY

Life is funny. Just when you think you’re cruising along, you get a wrench thrown your way. But most of us look at the wrench as an inconvenience or an annoyance. The truth is, the wrench is a tool… literally, to show you that you need to fix something. And sure, sometimes it may be literal – when your car breaks down on the way to what was an important appointment, etc. But maybe you weren’t supposed to go to the appointment – the car breakdown was for purpose.

If you’re busy working non-stop and suddenly you cannot do what you need to do because you’re waiting on people or your cell phone isn’t getting reception or whatever the problem, maybe it’s because you’re supposed to stop. I don’t mean stop working. But stop the madness of going non-stop so you can work better, more efficiently or more creatively.

Taking a step back is sometimes necessary so whatever it is we’re distracted with gives us better perspective of the path we’re on so we can step forward on the right path with more purpose or step forward on another path to bring in a different perspective to be better at what we’re doing.

If we let go of the idea that we’re being derailed and instead look at the wrenches we’re thrown as essential tools and life gifts, we can approach life with more clarity and become stronger in the interim.

We then allow things to flow the direction they were meant to. Inspiration comes from day-to-day life. Our daily lessons give us strength, tenacity, courage, and also give us reassurance when we come out the other side that we can not only survive anything, but challenges put before us can be overcome.

Life isn’t about the ground you cover. It’s about the steps you take along the way to learn how to appreciate everything within life.

It is in this process we can get on track to move ahead and remember that if we surrender we will be shown the way.
